New features being released on
August 8, 2019 include:
- Guest login option which
gives guest users the capability to modify or add new components or
replace existing components for signals in construction or testing status
without having ECMS credentials or municipal association to traffic
signals. First time guest users can create an account with their name,
email address and phone number, and then use this email address to login
as a returning guest in the future.
- When viewed on a mobile
device web-browser (Cell Phone / Tablet), the layout on the screen is
modified to make it easier to input component data when out in the field.
TSAMS is available at https://www.tsams.penndot.gov/tsams/login.do.
To ensure quality of data entered
by guest users, the changes must be submitted to the applicable PennDOT
district for review and approval. A system generated email notification is sent
to the applicable district for review including the signal location, the name
of the guest user who requested the changes, the component types that are being
requested for review and a link to TSAMS log in page. After reviewing, district
reviewers can approve or reject the changes. A system generated email is sent
to guest user who submitted the request notifying the status of the request
after district reviewer reviewed and appropriate actions have taken. Approved
components are then become part of the signal records. Guest users can remove
the rejected components or resubmit them after making changes based on
rejection comments.
We welcome your feedback on the new
features or other comments on TSAMS by contacting signals@pa.gov.
