The new edition should be adopted on projects as soon as practical without affecting any letting schedules but must be used on all projects let after October 1, 2026. This publication was circulated through the Clearance Transmittal (CT) review process and approved by the Federal Highway Administration. The revisions to the publication also include compliance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), 11th edition.
