On February 5, 2021, PennDOT updated the policies pertaining to proprietary items for traffic signals. The new policy reflects changes to federal regulations and updates to comply with PennDOT's PS&E Manual (Publication 51). The policy is available on the Strike-Off Letters page of the Traffic Signal Portal and via this direct link. Central Office approval for proprietary items is required for all projects bid through ECMS.
